Position Summary:
The Database Marketing Analyst is responsible for utilizing the company’s databases to drive marketing strategies, tournament optimization, campaign ROI, and revenue growth. This individual will be focused on providing customer and business insights, digital and business analytics, marketing database management and campaign management operations. The ideal candidate will have subject matter experience in database marketing, CRM, and data mining. The ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines are critical to success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute site-wide tournament programming strategy and promotion calendars.
• Create tracking metrics that help provide insights to drive future programming and/or marketing strategies and identify business opportunities and problems.
• Work with manager and internal marketing clients to prioritize and execute analyses related to marketing and/or programming initiatives.
• Provide list management, test design, and performance tracking for marketing campaigns.
• Create post-campaign response tracking report as well as detailed campaign post mortem analysis.
• Perform customer segmentation and profiling analysis
• Track customer behaviors and life cycles, such as response, engagement, and churn.
• Provide ad hoc data analyses
• Work with managers to identify data integrity issues and perform data validation tasks to ensure a successful data mart implementation
Requirements:
• BA/BS or equivalent is required. Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Math or equivalent a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in database marketing or web analytics, preferably in a e-commerce or direct marketing environment
• Proficiency in SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence tool (e.g Brio, Business Objects, Cognos, ..)
• Knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures
• Knowledge in statistical analysis, test design, and predictive modeling
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoints
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills, especially time management.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities
